What specific expertise does Mr Dan Morris bring to Sapphire Eye Care?
Dan operates on over 500 patients per year, which he believes is very important when choosing an experienced Surgeon. Patients should always ensure they are regularly performing the treatments they recommend. He is frequently called upon by colleagues to undertake revision eyelid surgery to help address problems that people have had with eyelid surgery elsewhere and is happy to provide an honest second opinion.
What types of surgeries does Dan Morris specialise in?
Upper eyelid blepharoplasty concentrates on the region between the eyebrow and the eyelashes. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty focuses on the area between the eyelashes and the cheek. Tired, hollow or sagging eyelids affect most of us at some stage in our life. Surgery can help restore a more youthful appearance. As an Ophthalmologist, Dan has a deep commitment and is passionate about cataract surgery and utilises the latest lens technologies to advance towards a true personalised vision correction.
Why is it beneficial to have a surgeon like Dan Morris who is experienced in oculoplastic surgery?
Eyelid surgery is a highly specialised area and whilst most general plastic surgeons carry out aesthetic eyelid surgery, all functional surgery of the eyelids is undertaken by oculoplastic surgeons in hospitals throughout the UK. There is a recognition that eyelid surgery is best undertaken by surgeons trained in eye surgery. An oculoplastic surgeon has undertaken many years of training in microsurgical ophthalmology followed by highly specialised training in oculoplastics to only deal in this area. Dan is in the top echelon of experienced oculoplastic surgeons in the UK.
What can patients expect when being treated by Dan?
Dan is valued for his exceptional outcomes, whilst maintaining an honest straightforward approach, involving patients in their choices and care.
