Can I Have Cataract Surgery If I Have Glaucoma Or Macular Degeneration

So yes, you can have cataract surgery if you have other medical conditions within the eye. Glaucoma tends to affect your peripheral vision, and macular degeneration affects your central vision. But the cataract will still make your vision generally go cloudy. So, my view usually is that removing the cataracts is a good idea, although there will be a guarded prognosis.
