A blepharospasm is often an involuntary twitch of your eyelid, and usually it can be both or unilateral. Sometimes it can be attributed to tiredness or excess caffeine. I’d be more concerned and want you to see us here at Sapphire if you notice it’s tracking down one side of your face causing a hemifacial spasm where it can cause the twitching of your mouth corner to come up and affect your nose, and sometimes your blink. Sometimes a blepharospasm can also mean you can’t open your eye fully, and that’s when we can help you with non-surgical treatments. Very occasionally, you may require the input of a neurologist or a neurosurgical team.
