“In the early stages of either entropion or ectropion, the eyes can be managed conservatively, usually using copious amounts of eye ointment at night to make sure that the cornea is protected and doesn’t become damaged by the loss of the eyelid protection.
If the condition progresses, then we would like to offer you some surgery.
Usually this is a horizontal tightening of your lower eyelid.
It takes slightly different forms in different types of ectropion and entropion, but is a minor operation procedure, usually carried out in an outpatient situation.”
