So this very much depends upon how we define success. If the question is, can we remove floaters? The answer is yes, almost a hundred percent of floaters will be removed, and this simply cannot come back. A tiny, tiny number of floaters can remain which tend to clear with time, making people happy, may be a slightly different concept. It may be that vitreous opacity isn’t the only problem. A patient with vitreous opacity may also have cataract. We need to decide to what extent your problems are due to vitreous opacity and to what extent other pathologies, most commonly cataract lens opacity.
