Why do I have droopy eyelids

Duration 0:45

Droopy eyelids can occur for a number of reasons. One of the most common is contact lens use. So what we do know is over many years of contact lens use, then you're a bit more inclined to develop droopy upper eyelids. The other most common reason is genetic. So you might well look at your sister or auntie or grandparents and see that as a sort of familial trait. So I have quite often treated numerous family members across generations, et cetera. Less commonly, people can be born with a droopy eyelid, and so treatment is needed during childhood.
