Sadly, no. No one has yet discovered any magic way to slow or prevent cataract. There is some evidence that it might be related to the amount of ultraviolet light that we’re exposed to over the course of a lifetime, but by the time you’re getting cataract, wearing sunglasses is just not going to make any difference. So, there’s nothing that you can do. There are no drops. There is no treatment. The only thing you can do is wait until it’s sufficiently advanced, and at that point, consider surgery.
