Certainly in the early stages it is urgent that you have an appointment for a consultation and probably introduction of anti-growth factor injections as soon as possible to help limit the damage caused by the leaking vessels in the retina. It is critical that injections are given as soon as possible. This ensures the best visual outcome for your eye and injections should really be introduced within two weeks of symptoms or at least within two weeks of a diagnosis.
