Refractive Lens Exchange
Who is suitable for Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)?
Duration 0:43
Transcript
The ideal candidate for refractive lens exchange would be someone who wears glasses for both distance and near, over the age of 50, certainly over 60, possibly with the beginnings of early cataract which will inevitably require removal at some point. And also perhaps a realistic expectation that the aim of surgery is to hopefully dramatically reduce spectacle requirement rather than entirely remove spectacles for all activities at all times.
